Who are FixIT? FixITis a NPGHS Young Enterprise company which started operations at the beginning of 2008. FixIT were the winners of the Shell Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme Regionals for Taranaki. How did the FixIT Bandage Originate? Faced with the challenge of running a successful business venture, the FixIT team looked to their experiences as young energetic senior school students all of whom participate actively in sport, for ideas. FixIT identified the problem that occurs when injuries on the court not only require the application of a hot or cold pack, but also another team member made available to hold the pack in place. How does the FixIT Bandage Work? After many prototypes the final FixIT Bandage became the solution to the problem. The FixIT bandage solves the problem of having to hold a hot or cold pack in place as the wide velcro strapping adjusts easily and effectively to hold the pack securely in place. The pack itself constructed out of durable and absorbent neoprene, stretches allowing it be adhered firmly to the upper and/or lower regions of a limb. The bandage also includes a concealed pocket into which the inner core gel (included with the bandage) is placed. This inner core gel can be easily and safely heated to apply heat or frozen to use as an ice treatment. The FixIT bandage is original and unique - there is nothing like the FixIT bandage. |
